SGA Committees
Committees are specialized groups comprised of senators and committee representatives. In committees, members meet with Saint Louis University administration, form new ideas about improving 博彩网址大全 and propose legislation to the Student Government Association Senate. The Internal Affairs Committee works to ensure that the SGA is functioning in the most efficient and effective way possible to best represent the interests of its members and the 博彩网址大全 community by monitoring things like attendance infractions and office hours. The Internal Affairs Committee conducts interviews for open senate and committee representative positions and helps plan events for the Association. The Finance Committee distributes the student activity fee to the more than 140 chartered student organizations on campus. This fee consists of the $65 every undergraduate student pays per semester and 15 percent of the $30 graduate student fee per semester. The committee follows the annual funding process each spring to allocate most funds. Any remaining or reserved funds are distributed through spot funding or new charter funding throughout the year, upon request.
Each Finance Committee member liaises with CSOs, helping them throughout the funding process. The Finance Committee is always open to suggestions on improving the funding process. Any questions or suggestions can be directed to the vice president of finance at sga.finance@mblayst.com.

The Academic Affairs Committee oversees a broad array of initiatives to ensure the educational success of all 博彩网址大全 students and promote a healthy academic environment. These committee members also meet regularly with their specific deans and administrators. The committee oversees the nomination, evaluation and selection of candidates for the Faculty Excellence Awards and the Upperclassmen Scholarship. The International Affairs Committee advocates for the best interests of international students during their time at 博彩网址大全. The committee works with various departments to ensure the transition between countries and cultures is as smooth as possible and that our international students feel at home in St. Louis. Members of ComSO oversee the development, chartering and maintenance of chartered student organizations on campus. Members are important in maintaining a positive working relationship between CSOs, SGA and the University community. Members of this committee work as liaisons between categories of clubs and ComSO to best serve these organizations. Diversity Leadership Cabinet is a unique committee that consists of senators, representatives from each of 博彩网址大全’s diversity and social justice organizations, and delegates from the broader 博彩网址大全 community. These different parties come together to discuss legislation pertaining to diversity, equity and inclusion issues, and program events promoting inclusion on campus. The Wellness Committee is tasked with properly allocating and tracking funds to support wellness initiatives on campus. The committee reviews grant proposals and assists applicants in implementing the projects granted. Wellness proposals should serve to better the mind, body and/or spirit of 博彩网址大全 students. This fund serves as a kickstart for student organizations on campus that seek to improve and promote wellness here at 博彩网址大全. Questions can be sent to sga.wellness@mblayst.com.
The wellness fund consists of $100,000 granted to the SGA from the larger Saint Louis University wellness fund, paid into by every student ($90/semester).
Eligibility
All proposals must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Applicants must be current 博彩网址大全 students, including undergraduate, graduate, law and medical students.
- Students may apply as individuals or as groups, including chartered student organizations.
- Groups may only submit one grant application per academic year. Applications may be submitted annually, but are not guaranteed to be funded subsequently after the first year a proposal is funded.
- Submitted proposals must promote the betterment of the mind, body, and/or spirit of 博彩网址大全 students.
- Proposals must be designed to reach a substantial portion of the student population, per the judgment of the SGA Wellness Committee.
- Proposals cannot be retroactive. No refunds will be given.
- All funds must be spent within the academic year that funding is granted.
- Funding will not be granted for projects for which funds from the student activity fee were requested during the current and/or past fiscal year. (e.g. annual funding and spot funding)

The Communications Committee is the powerhouse behind SGA’s student outreach efforts.
Communications works with the chief of staff to manage SGA’s social media accounts.
In addition, members plan and execute large social events (i.e. barbecues, ice cream
socials, etc) that bring together the Association and the general student body. The
chief of staff and Communications Committee also manage the weekly SGA mailer to all
students.

The Mission and Ministry Committee acts as a voice for students of 博彩网址大全 concerning matters related to the mission and ministry of the University, service leadership opportunities and issues concerning global and local social justice.

Members of FaSCO address issues pertaining to parking and card services, public safety, facilities, housing and residence life, sustainability and any additional issues pertaining to facilities and services on campus. The Constitutional Policy Review Committee is tasked with reviewing and determining
the constitutionality of all legislation that comes before the Senate (in accordance
with the SGA Constitution). The committee may also propose appropriate and timely
